Privacy policy

The short version
FixAnyPDF never receives your documents. The editor is code that runs inside your web browser, so your PDFs are opened, edited and saved on your own device. We have no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
Your documents
When you open a file, your browser reads it directly from your device. Every tool (editing text, signing, filling forms, OCR, merging, splitting, compressing, redacting and converting) runs locally on your device. The finished PDF is created in your browser and saved to your downloads. No part of your document's contents is transmitted to us or to any third party.
This is enforced by your browser, not just promised. The site sends a Content-Security-Policy header that only allows the page to connect to this website and to cdn.jsdelivr.net (see below). You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, choose the Network tab, and watch while you work. Or disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded, and the editor keeps working.
Data stored on your device
If you save a signature or initials, or change preferences such as your OCR languages, they are stored in your browser's local storage on this device only, so they're ready next time. They are never sent anywhere. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Files the page downloads
To do its work, the page downloads some files. None of these requests contain your document:
- The app itself (code, fonts and icons), from this website.
- OCR engine and language data, from jsDelivr, a free public content delivery network. This happens only when you use OCR.
- Font files, from jsDelivr (the open-source Fontsource library). This happens only when you edit text in a PDF whose font is missing a character you typed and an open-licence version of that font exists.
Like any website, these servers see standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type, which they need in order to deliver the files.
Hosting
This website is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes standard technical data such as IP addresses and request logs, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't add analytics or tracking of our own.
Children
We don't knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
